About Wildflowers

Three artists from the Huon Valley, Tasmania with a shared passion for the Americana tradition. Mel (from Barefoot Nellie), Kate (from Zinnia Blue) and Teresa Dixon, have joined forces as Wildflowers. The project was formed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Trio, the landmark 1987 album by Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris.

Kate and Mel’s warm, honeyed voices lend themselves beautifully to the soaring harmonies of Emmylou and Dolly, while Teresa's gritty, earthy tone brings the raw, heartfelt depth of Linda to life. Their performances draw heavily from the original Trio tracklist, including "Wildflowers", "To Know Him Is to Love Him", and "Farther Along", presenting three distinct but deeply complementary voices.
